With a population of 10,000, Easton offers the advantages of small town living while being less than an hour's drive from Baltimore, Washington, DC and Wilmington, DE. Rated as one of the Top One Hundred Small Arts Communities in America, Easton is an arts and cultural center with a population of over 14,000 individuals. Easton boasts shopping for all budgets from collectibles to fine antiques; eclectic art galleries; numerous public golf courses; the splendid Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries; an historic Town Center with Colonial and Victorian architecture; and an active local community that welcomes new ideas and enthusiasm.  In 1965 Mary Mason moved from Baltimore to Easton with her husband and young family. With a plan to start a business selling fine gifts and decorative accessories for the home, she acquired a quaint Victorian house on Harrison Street. She had the house painted yellow to make it stand out since, at that time, the location was considered on the outskirts of town. Handmade chocolates and candy were introduced and packaged under the Mason’s label. As the business grew, a small café serving signature soups and sandwiches and gourmet shop were added. From this, an upscale catering business emerged. Having become the favorite lunch spot in Easton, Mary and her son Matthew decided it was time to take the company to its next evolution. In the year 2000 a total renovation of the original Mason’s and the Victorian house next door (circa 1887 and built by Matthew’s great-grandfather) was completed. The two historic buildings were totally renovated and connected to make one upscale establishment. The expansion included a new state-of-the-art kitchen, private dining rooms, and a lush courtyard for outdoor dining. Another evolution in 2005 brought an enlarged bar area with banquette style seating opposite and a cozy lounge to wait for your party, have an espresso or to simply enjoy a glass of wine. Mason’s is the Eastern Shore’s favorite dining place for the discriminating palate and is often compared to New York and Europe’s finest. Our 150-seat restaurant has a variety of dining room experiences from which to choose. We have spaces to meet every occasion from our casually sophisticated bar and banquette area to the  warmth of our vibrant red dining room, from the privacy of our second floor to the relaxing sounds of bubbling water from our flower-filled courtyard; your senses come alive and relaxation is at hand. Our Lunch Menu is the most popular in Easton featuring 20 hot and cold sandwiches, mouth-watering soups, delectable salads and entrees worth raving about. If you can't stay here for lunch, ask about our lunch delivery. Dinner Menus include light fare items in addition to a full menu of salads, starters and entrees infused with the bounty of the sea and local farms of the Eastern Shore.
